To say the ladies absolutely CRUSHED it at our Women's Mentored Waterfowl Hunt today would be an understatement!

From learning new skills to putting birds in the bag, these ladies showed up and got it done, ending the morning with an impressive 6-woman limit!

A huge congratulations to all the ladies who took part, and a big thank-you to our guides Troy and Shane at Autumn Skies Outfitters , and to Cabela's who helped make it happen.

Days like this are what it’s all about — building confidence, sharing knowledge, having fun, and welcoming more women into the world of waterfowl hunting.

Whether you are a seasoned waterfowl hunter, new to the sport or just an avid fan of waterfowl and waterfowl conservation, you should take a few minutes to watch the short film 'Art of Conservation' produced by Hooké and Wildlife Habitat Canada.

This beautiful film explains how your duck stamp funds are used to support conservation in Canada, and showcases the importance of waterfowl conservation and the efforts of WHC and organizations such as Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl Foundation to support waterfowl in Canada.

🦆 The 4th Annual Women’s Mentored Waterfowl Hunt is coming up! 🦆

The Delta Waterfowl – Simcoe County Chapter, in collaboratoin with Autumn Skies Outfitters, is proud to once again be hosting our annual Women’s Mentored Waterfowl Hunt, an event specifically designed for women who are new to waterfowl hunting and interested in learning more about the sport.

This is a great opportunity to get out in the field, learn the fundamentals of waterfowl hunting from experienced mentors, and experience your first hunt in a safe, supportive and welcoming environment.

Our goal is simple: introduce new women hunters to waterfowling, share the knowledge and traditions of the sport, provide a first-class hunting experience and hopefully create some lifelong hunters along the way.

📅 Hunt Date: Sunday, October 11th, 2026
Mandatory Safety Orientation: Thursday, September 17th, 3:30pm - 6:30pm

This event will be limited to 4 participants who will be selected through an on-line application process. The application can be found at https://forms.gle/1V6m8ADPj5qYtZok7

Spaces are limited, so if you’ve been wanting to give waterfowl hunting a try, this is your opportunity! Participants will be selected and notified on Sunday, September 5th.

Come learn. Come hunt. Come experience the excitement of waterfowling.
