The Dissociatve Alliance is a support group for community members experiencing dissociative symptoms and looking for support from others who share similar experiences. We meet once a month in person to discuss our day to day lives, struggles, successes and stories. The DA is a judgement-free space for group members to be themselves, learn coping skills and resources from others, and to help give i
deas and support to each other. Anyone in the community experiencing dissociation on any level (including those who are not sure their symptoms are dissociative and would like support while figuring that out for themselves) are welcome to join us for discussion, exploration and social interaction. Our goal is to empower each other to be strong, confident and proud of who we are. The DA views dissociation and dissociative symptoms as coping skills, and not as something wrong with a person. We look at each person as the expert on themselves and believe that each one of us is in charge of who we are and where we want to go. Meetings are a safe space, without judgement, and without triggering discussions. Our focus is on the day to day lives we live, and not discussion of any traumas that we may have experienced in life. Safety and support are the biggest priorities for our group. Please contact us by private message, or email [email protected] for information on meeting times. ALL MEETINGS ARE FREE TO ATTEND AND OPEN TO ALL COMMUNITY MEMBERS. IF YOU CAN MAKE IT TO THE MEETING, YOU'RE WELCOME TO ATTEND, EVEN IF YOU LIVE OUT OF THE AREA.
