Setting up for ARRL/RAC Field Day 2026. .

06/21/2026

The Barrie Amateur Radio Club invites the public to visit our 2026 ARRL Field Day event at Chappell Farms from 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27 until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28.

This year, we are honoured to have the Simcoe County Paramedic Services Mobile Command Post (MCP) on site from Noon on Friday, June 26 through Sunday morning, June 28.

Club members who are also members of the Simcoe County Auxiliary Communications Team (SCACT) will be operating from the Mobile Command Post as part of a Live Exercise (LiveEx) while simultaneously operating our regular amateur radio Field Day stations.

Field Day is North America's largest amateur radio emergency communications exercise, demonstrating how amateur radio operators can provide reliable communications when traditional systems are unavailable.

We invite everyone to stop by, meet our members, learn about amateur radio and emergency communications, and best of all, take the opportunity to "Get On The Air" under the guidance of one of our licensed club members.

Whether you're curious about amateur radio, emergency communications, or simply looking for an interesting family outing, we'd be pleased to welcome you!

We look forward to seeing you at Chappell Farms!
