Out and about in Barrhead watch for these signs on front lawns throughout town.
These people have been chosen by other individuals for various different displays in their yards.
Now these people get to share the sign with more people that they think are deserving of this honor 😊
Great to promote community spirit throughout town.

With the warmer weather, a lot of our graffiti “artists” are out and about decorating sheds, the sides of buildings and various other surfaces
If you’ve been hit by graffiti get in touch with us and get a free Graffiti Be Gone kit to help you get rid of it.

Good morning
Just a July tip for all the gardeners out there
As July rolls on you might notice that your hanging baskets are starting to look scraggly.
The best solution to this is to prune them back by approximately 1/3 the size of the plant right above a leaf node.
Pruning rejuvenates the plant and encourages new growth.
Fertilize well and in a couple of weeks, you’ll have beautiful new growth and a much fuller basket

Hello
Happy Saturday everyone.
Driving around Barrhead and you occasionally see a few w**ds.
The one in the picture is creeping bellflower.
It’s an invasive w**d and you really need to get rid of it.
It will takeover yards and gardens in a short amount of time.
It starts out as one plant and soon becomes 100 plants
They spread by rhizomes underground, and also by seed
They’re out to conquer the yards and Gardens of all gardeners

So much fun.

Mr & Mrs Plantinga were nominated for Barrhead Best Garden by folks that love the beautiful display of lilies every year and the amazing delphiniums along the back alley.

The care and attention spent on this yard is obvious to all that drive or walk by.
