Friends and customers, this is a very difficult post to compose and distribute.
Citing operational changes and financial pressures, our Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cease Ripple Thrift Store operations effective 5:30 p.m. this Saturday, August 1, 2026. Both Kayla and I thank you for your patronage over the years, and encourage you to continue supporting Barrhead's thriving thrift store scene (New To You, The Thrift Shoppe, The Emporium, and Alice' Attic).
Personally, I would like to thank and honour all the dedicated volunteers, both past and present, who have selflessly provided untold hours over the years to our non-profit store. It is our hope to see our incredible volunteers (Ruth, Greg, Christie, Gail, Annette, Grace, Dorothy, Karen, Eric & Kieran, Rod & Cher/Elizabeth, Elizabeth & Scott, and Chanel & Sarah) continue contributing their time and energy to another worthy cause.

Happy Canada Day everyone!
The Ripple Thrift Store will be closed today to celebrate with our family and friends.
We will reopen tomorrow, Thursday, July 2nd, at 11 a.m. Sit back, enjoy the sunshine, and perhaps even some fireworks. :-)

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Ripple Thrift Store will close early today at 3:30 p.m., reopening tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. We regret any inconvenience.

Hi everyone, sorry to say our store experienced severe flooding over the last two days, so we are closed today to address the situation. Apologies for the late notice, but we are hard at work removing the water.

Hi everyone, due to a temporary staffing issue, the Ripple Thrift Store will be closed today, Saturday June 13th. We sincerely regret any inconvenience, and look forward to returning to our normal hours on Tuesday, June 16th (11 am to 5:30 pm). Thank you for your understanding.

Priced high at $200…but this is in as new condition…a dehumidifier. Tested. It sells for $429.99 at Canadian Tire.
