📣 EXCITING ISQ ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣

We could not be more thrilled to announce Clara Abel as the newest member of the Isidore String Quartet!

Clara is an extraordinary cellist, a deeply sensitive chamber musician, and a wonderfully curious artist. Her musical life spans centuries—from historically informed performance and baroque cello to the modern quartet repertoire—and she brings all of these experiences into the way she listens, plays, and connects with others.

What immediately drew us to Clara was her deeply rooted love for chamber music and the generosity with which she approaches it. Her warmth, openness, and welcoming presence created a natural connection from the very beginning. There was an immediate sense of curiosity and trust—a feeling that we could listen, explore, and make something together.

Beyond her remarkable musical experiences and accomplishments, Clara brings a spirit of joy, openness, and authenticity that feels deeply at home within the quartet. We are so excited to discover what we can create together, and to share it with the world.

Here’s to a brand new chapter for the ISQ!

This tour continues in Europe and North America over the next two years, with upcoming performances in MD, NY, BC, UT and then back to AB end of November to perform at Calgary Pro Musica!
