Home Again Animal Rescue Rescuing and re-homing dogs and cats from Bancroft, Barry’s Bay & Beyond. Home Again offers pet microchipping by appointment for $20.00 each.

Home Again has a crate “lending library” for community pet owners in temporary need of crates for their pets. The “lending library” extends to other pet supplies Home Again may have e.g., wheelchairs, booties, blankets/quilts, diapers, puppy pens, etc. Home Again also has a live trap available for community use. A $50.00 refundable upon return deposit is required.

FROM DOG LOVERS TO DOG LOVERS, HAPPY INTERNATIONAL DOG DAY!!!❤️🐾❤️ We would like to introduce you to the current line-up of dogs in our care thanks to your support. Some are available for adoption, some are not yet ready, and some are palliative (forever fosters).

This is a snapshot and does not include the dogs who have been adopted this year, and it does not include the many, many cats and kittens who have found refuge and homes through Home Again.

A way to help. Our Give Back Raffle was started to thank our communities for their ongoing support of our local animals in need and to provide much needed funds to pay for the animals’ care. With its success, everyone wins, but especially the pets. Showing your support of the pets by purchasing tickets allows the raffle to return each year, ensuring Home Again can continue to meet the needs of our rescued dogs and cats. Please share, and buy a ticket if you can.

Spay Days for Lyla & Nikki this week. The Dynamic Duo were back at the vet to be spayed and microchipped. We also took this opportunity to have Nikki more thoroughly examined and x-rayed while she was under.

For those who don’t know, Nikki was struck by a truck during the weeks the girls were roaming. Initially a video showed she had a pronounced limp. By the time the girls were secured, Nikki’s limp had improved to the point of being barely noticeable. However, it is still there. The vets think Nikki’s front leg platelet was impacted causing soft tissue trauma, which heals very slowly. So, poor Nikki continues to be on restricted activity, as well as sporting a cone…actually, Happy Girl doesn’t seem to care.

Not to leave Lyla out, she has been an easy and loving girl, even though she was the hardest to catch. Lyla was the pup who had to be lured into a trap. She is initially shy but is so trusting once she feels safe. Her confidence is building daily.
