Andra Kauffeldt, Capital Campaign Chair for North Hastings Inspiration Place was honoured to receive a generous donation from Robert Hunter and Trevor Minnie on behalf of Kijicho Manito Madaouskarini community .

As this new space is on the traditional territory of the Algonquin People, we are honoured by this meaningful support.

This contribution will be recognized in a lasting way within the library, reflecting our appreciation for this shared investment in learning, culture, and community.

Secondary Occasional Teachers- Alternative HOPE Program
Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board

In the spirit of reconciliation and in alignment with Truth and Reconciliation Call to Action #10, HPEDSB is looking for dedicated occasional teachers for the HOPE(Haudenosaunee Opportunities for Personalized Education)program. Funded and hosted by the Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte, this program removes systemic barriers by fostering community responsibility and integrating Indigenous ways of knowing and doing. While the physical work location is the Ohahase Education Centre, Teachers working at this location will report to the Administration of Eastside Secondary School. The Ohahase Education Centre is located at 1825 York Road, Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.

Volunteers needed to show our trails some love! This Saturday again, Dave Naulls will be very happy to see more willing hands to bring the new trail along. Bonus for trail volunteers - this time of year, bugs are much less in number!
