North Hastings Holiday Hamper Program

The North Hastings Holiday Hamper Program would like to extend a huge thank you to Jasmine Mackey Insurance Agency LTD, in conjunction with Desjardins, for their incredibly generous donation to support our Feet on the Street Outreach Weekend Program.

Their donation included:

• 96 cans of tomato sauce
• 72 cans of black beans
• 36 cans of kidney beans
• 64 cans of tuna
• 90 boxes of pasta
• 36 cans of a Spam & rice dish

All of these items were purchased through Costco and represent approximately $500–$600 worth of much-needed food for those we serve in our community.

We are truly grateful for this support and for the connection that made it possible. A special thank you to Jasmine and the amazing ladies in the office who helped load all of those heavy boxes into Sherri’s vehicle. Your kindness, generosity, and willingness to lend a hand are greatly appreciated.

Community support like this makes a real difference and helps us continue our mission of providing assistance to those in need throughout North Hastings.

Effective yesterday, the Breakfast Programs budget for all seven local schools has been supplemented with a $200 gift card for No Frills. Additionally, we visited the North Hastings Youth Wellness Hub and presented them with a $150 gift card. These contributions are a direct result of the generosity of donors who supported our 15th Annual Holiday Hamper Drive.

What a sweet visitor we had yesterday!
Krystal from North Hastings Holiday Hamper completely humbled us with a wonderful donation ❤️
They provided meals to 65 families last December, through their Holiday Hamper Program and continue to offer weekend meals to many in our community who need it the most!
We were honoured they used our location last year to do their work (and we hope in the years ahead.)

North Hastings Holiday Hamper Program Gives Back to Community Partners

The Board of Directors of the North Hastings Holiday Hamper Program is proud to announce a series of community donations following the success of its 15th Annual Holiday Hamper Drive.

Thanks to the overwhelming support received during the 2025 campaign, the program was able to expand its giving this year by including two new community partners: Bancroft Community Transit and the North Hastings Youth Hub.

Bancroft Community Transit was presented with a $1,000 donation in recognition of its vital role in supporting local residents. The organization provides essential transportation services, ensuring individuals—particularly those who are most vulnerable—can access medical appointments, grocery stores, and other necessities. In addition to its ongoing community impact, Bancroft Community Transit also supported the Holiday Hamper Program by providing space to assemble and distribute 68 hampers during the 2025 Christmas season.

The North Hastings Youth Hub will receive a $150 gift card from No Frills to assist in providing healthy snacks for the youth who access its services.

In keeping with its ongoing commitment to local families, the program is also preparing donations for seven area schools. Each school will receive a $200 No Frills gift card to support student breakfast programs—an initiative the organization has proudly maintained for the past three years.

The North Hastings Holiday Hamper Program remains dedicated to working collaboratively with local organizations to strengthen the community. By reinvesting surplus funds into a variety of initiatives, the Board aims to foster sustainable partnerships and ensure continued support for residents across North Hastings.
