As The Royal Canadian Legion marks its 100th anniversary, we are proud to introduce the limited-edition Legion 100 commemorative tulip—a living tribute to a century of service and sacrifice.

Developed in collaboration with the Canadian Tulip Festival, this symbolic flower reflects a shared history rooted in Canada’s role in the liberation of the Netherlands during the Second World War. Its distinctive red and white petals evoke the spirit of Remembrance, while its upward form looks ahead to the Legion’s next century of impact.

Planted this year, these tulips will bloom in spring 2027—serving as a powerful reminder of the legacy built by Canada’s Veterans, and the continued support they deserve.

Proceeds from bulb sales will directly support the Legion’s programs for Veterans and their families, as well as the Canadian Tulip Legacy.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Davidson Family, we are delighted to announce that we will continue to showcase talented musicians from across the Muskoka Region at the Bala Legion throughout 2026! This program featuring local Muskoka musicians started under the leadership of our music chair Fred Orchard and has received overwhelmingly positive feedback. We are so happy it can continue. The Royal Canadian Legion’s 2025 National Poppy Campaign and Remembrance Period officially launched today with additional access to Poppies, and thousands of locations participating in initiatives to encourage Canadians to Remember.

“The countless people who donate to the campaign during this period make a huge difference in Veterans’ lives,” says Berkley Lawrence, Dominion President. “Their donations allow us to help Veterans at the ground level, providing the assistance they need, from obtaining benefits to emergency funding. We thank everyone who contributes to this mission, and to all who take time to remember the sacrifices of our Fallen service members during this period.”
With a mix of modern and traditional, there's many ways to donate! With support from RBC, the Legion has doubled the number of “Pay Tribute” tap to donate boxes this year. In collaboration with Amazon Canada, this is the second year donors can contribute $2, $5, $10, or $20 in any combination, to receive a Poppy online to be delivered to their door. The Legion’s Amazon storefront also offers other Remembrance items such as the ever-popular Poppy centre pin which can be quickly shipped across the country. Traditional Poppy boxes will still be available for donations and people can pick up a biodegradable Poppy at many thousands of outlets throughout the country. For a third year, that includes TD Bank branches where customers can also donate to the Poppy Trust Fund via that bank’s payee system – donations will go to local Legion branches.
