Baddeck Lions Club Chartered since June 11, 1951 with currently 47 active members. Where There's a NEED, There's a LION. Whenever a Lions club gets together, problems get smaller.

And communities get better. That's because we help where help is needed – in our own communities – with unmatched integrity and energy. Lions International is the World's Largest Service Club Organization with 46,000 clubs and 1.4+ million members make us the world's largest service club organization. We're also one of the most effective. Our members do whatever is needed to help their local communities. Everywhere we work, we make friends. With children who need eyeglasses, with seniors who don’t have enough to eat and with people we may never meet. Baddeck Lion’s Club Meets every second Thursday of the month beginning at 6:00 pm at Greenwood United Church on Twining St, Baddeck. New members are always welcome. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated and came out and participated in the Baddeck Terry Fox Run! Your support, enthusiasm, and generosity helped make the event a wonderful success.

We are so grateful to our community for coming together to honour Terry’s legacy and support cancer research. Every step, every donation, and every helping hand makes a difference.

Believe it or not, summer is already coming to a close. We want to thank everyone who joined us on Kidston Island this season, as well as our wonderful staff for all their hard work. It’s been a fantastic year! Yesterday, August 28th was the last day and we are closed as of today for the season, to give our staff time to wrap things up on their final day. Have a safe and happy rest of the year. See you all next summer.

Lots of rain, not looking much like a beach day. The island will remain closed for the day.

It’s not looking like a a good beach day this morning, and the weather is forecasting to be worse this afternoon. The island is going to close for the day.  Hope to see you all tomorrow.

Today we will be closing at 5. But exciting news…..

We are open an extra week this summer. Our closing day will be Friday August 28th.
