Exciting Community-Led Projects in Greater Sudbury!

What is a Community-Led Project?
Our community groups are the heartbeat of the city. You understand the needs and desires of our residents, and we're here to help you turn those dreams into reality. Together, we can build a connected, inclusive and vibrant community!

Community groups are responsible for raising 100 per cent of the project costs before any construction or procurement begins. Once the funds are secured, the City steps in to manage the project, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on schedule.

Check out these exciting Projects on the go:
🚧 Gauthier Tot Lot 🚧
The Azilda North Neighbourhood Association in Ward 4 is in the final proposal and fundraising phase for upgrades to Gauthier Tot Lot. This project aims to enhance the park's facilities, making it a more enjoyable space for families and children. The upgrades include new playground equipment and improved accessibility features, ensuring everyone can enjoy the park. The Association has been actively involved in community projects, demonstrating their commitment to creating vibrant and inclusive spaces for all residents.

🚧 Kinsmen Shade Structure🚧
The Kinsmen Sports Complex in Ward 2 is in the final proposal and fundraising phase for a new shade structure. This project, led by the Walden Community Action Network, aims to provide much-needed shade for visitors, enhancing their comfort and enjoyment of the complex. The Walden CAN is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to strengthening the community of Lively and surrounding areas through impactful projects and initiatives.
