The Central York Girls Hockey Association is deeply saddened by the passing of Peter Fletcher, a Panther coach/volunteer and friend who made the world a better place.

Peter was a valued contributor to the CYGHA and women’s hockey for over 10 years.

Peter coached at many levels and with several teams while he was an active volunteer with the CYGHA.  He was always passionate about setting his players up for success. He was a coach that made a huge impact on the lives of his players.

Our thoughts are with his family in this difficult time. May he rest in peace.

Congratulations to Jamie Sanford for committing to Trinity Western University! Jamie’s resilience came shining through this past year and she never wavered in her belief in herself. Jamie is a great example to our Panther Nation that you can achieve anything if you fully commit to your goals and have unwavering belief in yourself. Jamie was a standout all year but especially over the past month when Jamie backstopped the Central York Jr Panthers to a top 4 finish at this year’s OWHA U22AA Provincial Championships. Congrats Jamie!
