We are honoured to be included in the Saberi family's giving initiative, honouring their son Sam (on what would have been his 42nd birthday) and how he consistently gave back to his community. Their desire to continue Sam's legacy is a testament to their character and commitment to Aurora. Their gift will provide over 200 meals for those in need in our community. 🍔☀️ Join Us for Martha’s Table’s Final Lunch Before Summer! ☀️🍔

After another wonderful season of friendship, food, and community, Martha’s Table will be hosting its final luncheon before the summer break on Thursday, June 25th.

To celebrate, we’ll be serving a special BBQ lunch and would love to welcome our guests, volunteers, and community members for one last gathering before we pause for the summer.

For many years, Martha’s Table has provided a safe and welcoming space where community members can enjoy homemade food, friendly conversation, and meaningful connection. Every Thursday, our incredible volunteers come together to prepare fresh sandwiches, soup, desserts, coffee, and tea for approximately 50 guests.

Martha’s Table will be closed for the summer and will reopen on Wednesday, September 3rd.

June 3rd, would have been Sam’s 42nd birthday.

At Welcoming Arms, we remember Sam not only for his kindness and generosity, but for the countless ways he showed up for our community. Whether it was lending a helping hand, supporting those in need, or simply bringing warmth and encouragement to those around him, Sam embodied the spirit of service.

His impact continues to be felt by so many of us, and we are grateful for the time, energy, and heart he shared with our organization and the people we serve.

In honour of Sam’s birthday, we invite you to join us in spreading kindness today. A small act of generosity, a helping hand, a kind word, or a moment of compassion can make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

The greatest way we can celebrate Sam is by continuing the values he lived every day: community, kindness, and caring for one another.

Every Wednesday, our community comes together around the table 💛

Welcome Table is a free drop-in community dinner held every Wednesday at 5:00 PM at Trinity Anglican Church in Aurora.

For almost 20 years, this program has provided hot nutritious meals, friendship, and a welcoming space for children, seniors, families, and individuals in our community, 52 weeks a year. 🍽️✨

With dedicated family tables, warm conversations, and a supportive environment, Welcome Table is about more than food … it’s about connection.

Everyone is welcome.
