Every Thursday from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM, we’re serving a free community lunch at Aurora Cornerstone Church.

This week’s menu features burgers and hot dogs with a variety of toppings, served alongside a fresh salad and fruit. 🍔🥗🍎

Whether you’re looking for a nutritious meal, friendly conversation, or simply a welcoming place to connect, we’d love to have you join us.

Congratulations to our Board Chair, Doug Steele, on being named Aurora’s 2026 Citizen of the Year! 🎉

Doug’s journey with Welcoming Arms began behind the scenes as a volunteer dishwasher at Welcome Table. Over the years, his quiet leadership, humility, and unwavering commitment to serving others have helped strengthen our organization and the community we proudly serve.

When asked about receiving the award, Doug shared that it’s “really about all the people I’ve worked with.” That spirit of teamwork and service is exactly what makes him so deserving of this recognition.

Today, Doug serves as Board Chair of Welcoming Arms, continuing to support our mission of providing food, compassion, hope, and connection to our community. He also hopes this recognition inspires others to discover the joy of volunteering and giving back.

Congratulations, Doug, and thank you for your years of service, leadership, and heart. We are incredibly proud to have you as part of the Welcoming Arms family. 🙏🏻

We are so excited to announce that Aurora Cornerstone Church, along with Welcoming Arms, will be continuing the great work that Martha's Table does throughout the year by hosting weekly barbeque luncheons ALL SUMMER LONG!!!!! Please join us at 390 Industrial Parkway South on Thursday, July 2nd for our first one. We hope to see you there.
