Aurora Community Band

Aurora Community Band The Aurora Community Band (ACB) is a local, all-ages volunteer band in Aurora, Ontario. We welcome woodwind, brass and percussion players of all ages.

The director is Gord Shephard and members come from the Aurora and York Region community. The band is a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to create beautiful concert band music with and for the citizens of Aurora. Established in 2011, the band has a membership of approximately fifty musicians of all ages and experience. Our season consists of three formal concerts, numerous informal per

formances and participation in Band Festivals. In 2012, the band was very proud to have received the Town of Aurora “Johnson’s Cultural Achievement Award” in recognition of the band’s significant cultural contribution to the town

Come out and join us!!! If you have had some experience playing a concert band instrument, (even 20 years ago!) and you want to participate in a fun community activity, come out and join us. Rehearsals are every Sunday evening from 7 to 9 pm at the Aurora Cultural Centre. How do I find out more information about the band? Applications are now open for the Aurora Community Band Holiday Market!

Join us on Saturday, November 14 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Anglican Church (79 Victoria St., Aurora) for a festive day filled with holiday cheer.

Our Holiday Market will feature:
🎶 Festive performances by the Aurora Community Band
🧁 Delicious holiday treats
🛍️ Shop amazing vendors with unique gifts and support local business

🌈 Happy Pride Month from the Aurora Community Band! 🌈

As we celebrate Pride Month, we're looking back on the incredible Aurora Pride Festival on May 31st with gratitude and joy.

We were honoured to help kick off Pride Month through the power of music, performing alongside our wonderful friends at Borealis Big Band, Just Peachy, and the Town of Aurora.

Thank you to everyone who attended, cheered us on, and helped create such a welcoming and inclusive celebration. Events like Aurora Pride remind us of the importance of community, acceptance, and celebrating the diversity that makes our town so special.

We're proud to support and celebrate our 2SLGBTQIA+ community and wish everyone a joyful, safe, and colourful Pride Month! 🏳️‍🌈🎶
