This week we are shining the spotlight on from our Beauty & Wellness listings where Crawl-ins & Walk-ins are Welcome!

🎉 Mark your calendars for one of York Region’s biggest community celebrations! 🎉

The Aurora Chamber Street Festival returns on Sunday, June 7 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., taking over Yonge Street with more than 300 vendors, amazing food, live entertainment, shopping, family fun, and so much more.

For over 25 years, the Aurora Chamber of Commerce has proudly organized this beloved community tradition, which began as a simple local garage sale and has grown into one of Aurora’s most exciting annual events.

Spend the day exploring local businesses and artisans, enjoying delicious eats, and experiencing live music and entertainment along a traffic-free Yonge Street. Admission is free, with parking available throughout the surrounding area.

Welcome to our Weekly Wednesday Business Spotlights!

This week we are shining the spotlight on Welcoming Arms from our Community Organizations listings.

Welcoming Arms began in October 2006, formed through discussions among Aurora churches responding to the needs of low-income families in the community. Families and individuals were regularly seeking support for financial hardship, including many who were unemployed or receiving assistance through Ontario Works or disability programs.

Recognizing the need for a coordinated response, church leaders came together to pool resources and better support those facing poverty, forming Welcoming Arms as a community partnership.

Today, Welcoming Arms continues this work by addressing food insecurity and financial hardship, serving approximately 100 dinners every Wednesday and 50 hot lunches every Thursday, along with monthly food and toiletry support to more than 165 families.

The Aurora Chamber Street Festival returns on Sunday, June 7 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., transforming Yonge Street into a vibrant celebration filled with over 300 vendors, incredible food, live music, shopping, entertainment, and so much more!

What began over 25 years ago as a small community garage sale has grown into one of Aurora’s most anticipated annual traditions — proudly organized by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce since day one.
