Hi everyone, welcome to our new page!
We tried to gain access to the old fundraising society page, but unfortunately didn’t get a response, and it doesn’t appear to be actively managed anymore. So, we’re branching out and starting fresh going forward.
We also want to recognize and sincerely thank the previous fundraising society board members for all of the time, effort, and dedication they’ve put in over the years. The impact they’ve had on our school and community has been huge, and starting this new page is by no means meant to diminish the work they’ve done; it’s something we truly appreciate and want to build on.
We’ll use this page to keep families and community members updated on things like our upcoming AGM, what’s happening at the school, the impact our fundraising society has, and ways people can get involved.
Our casino fundraiser has a huge impact on our school. It helps pay for things like field trip busing, playground equipment and playground repairs, and other important supports that would be very difficult for the school to cover on its own.
The commitment is small, but the impact is huge. We usually meet once a month during the school year, and the meetings are quick. The casino fundraiser usually happens every 18–24 months and requires 13 volunteers over the course of two evenings.
We are currently looking for a Casino Director and a Treasurer. Unfortunately, our board will not be able to continue operating without the Treasurer position being filled.
We need a full, functioning board to keep this going. Once casino opportunities are lost, they can be very hard to get back.
Please feel free to share this page with family and friends and invite others to like and follow along. It would be a shame to lose something that provides such important support to our students and school community.
