Assiniboia Civic Improvement Association The Assiniboia Civic Improvement Association is a volunteer group that does fundraising for capital sport, recreation and cultural projections.

The Assiniboia Civic Improvement Association serves the residents of Assiniboia in the area of community building. The mandate of the CIA is to raise funds for cultural, recreational and sporting facilities for the Town of Assiniboia. We have completed the construction of The Prince of Wales Cultural & Recreation Centre. Our Complex, affectionately known as the POW Centre, is shown to the left. Ou

r executive are VERY proud of our accomplishment in making our community a better place! The POW was transferred to the Town of Assiniboia May 31, 2012 and we are starting a new project, the construction of a Skating Arena. The property directly north of the POW has been purchased by the Assiniboia Civic Improvement Association for the new arena. Fundraising is underway!
