A great example of the working relationship between two local organizations striving towards the common goal of addressing food security in our two communities! Many thanks to the tireless work of the volunteers at both the Arnprior & District Food Bank Inc. and The Longer Table!

Feeding our Community, One Bowl at a Time! 🥣✨

A huge, heartfelt thank you to The Longer Table team for their incredible hard work this week! We were thrilled to receive 324 frozen prepared meals ready to be distributed to our clients.

The Longer Table is a community-led campaign dedicated to taking action on food security in the Greater Arnprior area, and they certainly put that mission into motion! These nutritious, ready-to-eat meals provide such comfort and relief to our neighbours, ensuring everyone has access to a delicious dinner.

We are so grateful for your continued partnership and for the "longer table" you are building in our community. ❤

Apologies for the delay on this!

A message from the Grand Knight of Council 2082:

“A Celebration of Love” was an event held Monday, December 22 at the St. John Chrysostom Parish Hall on Albert Street; it was a free Christmas meal provided for by the Knights of Columbus Council 2082, cooked by Jim’s Restaurant, and served by a host of volunteers from Council 2082, the Catholic Women’s League, the Arnprior Lions and Lionettes, and several young people from the local high schools. Open to any and all, nearly 200 meals were served.

In addition to the lovely meal, musical entertainment was provided by our brother Knights Dan, Dave, Norbert, and Diego. As well, many door prizes were sponsored and provided by local businesses and fellow service clubs of Arnprior. We would like to thank the wonderful support from:

Tim Horton’s, Metro, Canadian Tire, Firehouse Subs, Mary Brown’s Chicken, Gabriel Pizza, Osmow’s Shawarma, BarBurrito, Starbucks, Sweet & Sassy Cafe, Pet Valu, Arnprior Lions Club and Arnprior Lionettes Club, White Pine Books, the Catholic Women’s League, and Kim and Greg and the staff of Jim’s Restaurant.

The organizing committee, headed by Brother Ed Reid, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who made it a successful gathering!
