🍎READ & SHARE!! 🍎

It’s been a little while since we’ve been able to serve you from our café & we’ve missed it and we’ve missed you.

Since the fire, so much has changed. A place that held years of memories, conversations, coffee, laughter and so many familiar faces is no longer there. But the people, the friendships, and the love that made that place special are still here. We’ve seen it in the kind messages and little gifts left on the doorstep and much more. 🌸

Now we have been lucky enough to get asked to bring a little piece of that feeling back to the table. 🤎

Come join us for a garden cafe brunch @ Sparrowgrass Field and Flower featuring your local favourite waffles made with ingredients from people and places meaningful to us.

🍎 Macintosh Apple Pie Waffle
Our very own heritage apples from our orchard, cooked into warm apple pie filling and dolloped with vanilla bean whipped cream.

🍅Balsamic Bruschetta Waffle
Fresh garden tomatoes from our garden made into a cheery red bruschetta. It comes with slivered Black Forest ham and a drizzle of balsamic reduction.

🍁 Maple Bush Waffle
Genuine maple syrup that comes straight from a dear friend’s maple bush in Ontario and salted butter.

📍 Sparrow Grass Field & Flower
📅 September 12
⏰ 10 AM–2 PM

Come grab a waffle, wander through the flowers, and most importantly, come say hello. Constance Peony will be there, she needs to get to know you too!🥰

If you don't have a family doctor, make sure you're on the Health Connect Registry. It could make all the difference.

NexusBC has recently learned that more than 20,000 people in our area don't have a family doctor, but far fewer are registered on the Health Connect Registry, the system used to help match patients with available family physicians and nurse practitioners.

The good news? Our region is attracting more new physicians than in previous years. If you're on the Registry, you'll have a much better chance of being connected with one of these new healthcare providers.

Registering also helps the province identify where the need is greatest, supporting efforts to recruit more doctors and nurse practitioners to communities such as ours.

Please join us in welcoming Mia More Tacos to the Chamber! 🌮

Mia More is Benito's Mexican food trailer parked on the patio at Village Dairy along Smith Drive. The menu is fresh tacos, loaded bowls and homemade salsas, all made to order at the window. Benito cooks to express himself through his food, and Armstrong has become his second home.

Head down on your lunch break and order at the trailer. Since you're already at Village Dairy, stay for an ice cream cone or a coffee inside the newly renovated shop, because tacos followed by ice cream is a hard combination to beat. And while you're there, give Benito a warm Armstrong welcome!

Who would make decisions for you if you couldn't?

A Representation Agreement is a legal document that allows you to appoint someone you trust to make - or help you make - medical, personal, and financial decisions if you ever become incapable of doing so yourself.

If you're not sure where to start, you're not alone. NexusBC offers free appointments with a Nidus-trained volunteer who can answer your questions, explain your options, and help you understand Representation Agreements and personal planning.
