🌻 Now THAT is a sunflower! 🌻

James was very proud to show off his towering sunflower, which grew to an incredible 9 feet 2 inches tall! 😲

Our staff had fun guessing its final height—and Karen came closest without going over, with her guess of 9 feet. Congratulations, Karen! 🎉🏆

James is now wondering whether we should enter his sunflower into the Guinness World Records! 🌻

Nakile Home for Special Care and Bay Side Home are looking for one temporary full-time Behavioural Support Staff member to join our Behavioural Support Program in Argyle.

This role is a great fit for someone with training or experience in areas such as Continuing Care/CCA, Human Services, Mental Health Recovery & Promotion, Therapeutic Recreation, long-term care, dementia care or responsive behaviours.

You’ll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, helping provide individualized, person-centred support through meaningful activities, one-to-one support, group programming and behavioural support approaches.

✨ Additional training will be provided!

📍 Nakile Home for Special Care — Argyle, NS
⏰ 40 hours/week | Typically Monday–Friday
📅 Approx. 6-month term starting September 21, 2026
💰 $24.10/hour + benefits

This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, hardworking and enjoys being part of a team where the work you do each day really matters.

🏡 What will you be doing?
You’ll help keep Nakile clean, comfortable and feeling like home for the people who live here, while cross-training in both Environmental Services and Laundry.

We’re looking for someone who:
✅ Takes pride in their work
✅ Is friendly, reliable and works well with others
✅ Can work independently and stay organized
✅ Is comfortable with physical work
✅ Has flexible availability for weekdays, weekends, holidays and occasional short-notice shifts

Previous long-term care, housekeeping or laundry experience is an asset.
