Last week was our first of 3 Gymnastics lessons with coach Ashe Attridge. 🏃‍♀️🤸

Arcola Daycare received a Summer Grant through Community Initiatives Fund to make this possible. 💕

The children had a blast celebrating our May birthdays last week. 🎊💕

It was a Space Galaxy Celebration 🧑‍🚀🛸children had fun making rocketships, tin foil painting the galaxy, space darts, played with moon sand, moon rock toss and finished with a dance party and delicous cupcakes.

In honour of ECE month I would like to showcase our wonderful, and amazing Director Maribel! Thank you for your gentle guidance, leadership, patience, and for always supporting our team of ladies. Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed, and we truly appreciate everything you do for us and for Arcola Daycare!

“My name is MaribelCabezudo and I'm from Lima-Peru where I went to school and university. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in education.
After university I travelled to New York -US and lived there for 2 years where I took many courses at ManhattanVille College. Afterwards I travelled back home to Lima-Peru where I taught English in schools and language centers, while getting my Master's degree in university teaching.
I travelled to Canada in 2009 and started my path in Early Education in 2013 and I fell in love with this field and how important early education is in the lives of children and their future.
On September 01st, 2015 I started to work as a full time educator at Arcola Daycare. On June 2022 I stepped on the Supervising role and on June 2024 I took on the Director's role.
On April 2025 I was nominated for the Southeast Saskatchewan Women of Distinction Award.
I am and Early Childhood Educator level 3 and I couldn't be happier to be part of the wonderful Arcola daycare family and being a positive impact on others.”

In honour of ECE Appreciation Month I am proud to showcase another of our dedicated staff member Shannis Lamothe.

She takes care of our finances and we are so lucky to have her as part of our team and we appreciate everything you do. 🥰 🫶
