Just a reminder that the info session is today from 5-7PM at the Paqtnkek Elder’s Centre.

Crime Prevention will be hosting a coming-of-age Berry Fast teachings info session. It will be facilitated by Elder Jean Bartibogue, who helps with the ceremony in other Indigenous communities around NB. We are inviting all of the young girls ages 9-14 in the community to attend to learn about the fast to see if this is something they would like to participate in. Coming to the info session doesn't mean that you are accepting to participate. We are also inviting Mothers, Female Elder's, and the women who would like to help support our young girls.

It is important to connect to our past traditions, celebrate our women and young girls as they transition and to bring back our roles in our families and communities.
