Update! We're thrilled to share that we've managed to get further certified first aid training organized for StFX students!⛑️
Thanks to funding from the Annual Day of Giving and the Make Your Mark Fund, we are able to financially support 34 students to get their Intermediate Workplace First Aid CPR C and AED Certifications for $62 instead of $132!

Leep Stfx hosted our 3rd annual "Leep Stfx Innovation Challenge" just a few weeks ago, on Saturday, February 28th.
Students were working towards answering the prompt:
What is the best way to prepare for the effects of Climate Change in Nova Scotia?
There were 4 teams this year, and our winning group received $1000 in prize money!
A big congratulations to all our winners and to all the students who participated this year.

Leep has an exciting workshop planned for next Thursday, March 26th, 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
The Regional Chief of Nova Scotia, Andrea Paul, will be on Stfx campus to teach a workshop on beading!
This is a Mi'kmaq cultural practice, and she runs her own business beading. Check out Andrea's business website here: https://wasawekbeading.com/
The School of Business has provided Leep with the funding to make this happen, so it is FREE for all Stfx students who wish to attend!

Leep is hiring for our volunteer team next year!
LEEP stands for Life Skills & Entrepreneurship Education program.
We are a student group aimed at providing the community access to workshops and events that promote lifelong learning and skills development.
Our team next year currently has 9 open positions, which will be mentioned below.
On average, each position requires about 5 hours of volunteer time per week. Some are more or less, depending on the time of the year.
We are a business society, but we are open to all StFX students!
You do not have to be a perfect fit for any role below from your previous experience. We are looking for committed volunteers who want to help our community be better prepared for the challenges life brings our way.
