We would like to thank the members of Antigonish and all the students who came out and helped us raise over $3300 for ! We would also like to thank those who could not physically be here, but were able to send kind donations. This went above and beyond any expectations we had, and we are so happy we were able to raise so much for such an incredible organization! In partnership with , Hockey gives Blood aims to bring more knowledge and engagement to the hockey community about the importance of blood, plasma, stem cell, organ and tissue, and financial donations. The hockey gives blood team is a non-profit organization dedicated to encourage members of the hockey community to help save lives and ensure patients have access to the blood products they need.

And our fourth and final goalie, Ewan MacDonald! From Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Ewan finished his first season with the X-Men after playing in the MJAHL from 2018-2022 as a member of the Edmundston Blizzard and the Pictou County Crushers. Ewan will continue his career with the StFX X-Men heading into the 2023-24 season!

Come see Ewan alongside other current X-Men and X-Women, as they take on local legends this Saturday April 1st, from 5pm-7pm at the Antigonish Arena! Luke Melanson, from Truro, Nova Scotia, played 63 games in the MJAHL for the Truro Bearcats and Weeks Crushers. Luke went on to join the StFX X-Men from 2020-2022. This past season, Luke worked with the X-Men as a video and goalie coach!

Blade Mann-Dixon, from Antigonish, Nova Scotia, played in the QMJHL from 2014-2018, playing for the Saint John Sea Dogs, Moncton Wildcats, Charlottetown Islanders, and the Halifax Mooseheads. Blade went on to join the StFX X-Men from 2018-2022, tallying 38 games!

Lucas Pfeil, from Owen Sound, is coming off a strong rookie season with the StFX X-Men. Lucas spent 2018-2020 with the Kitchener Rangers, before playing in BCHL for the Cowichan Valley Capitals. Lucas will continue his career with the StFX X-Men heading into the 2023-24 season!

Saturday, April 1st, 2023, we are hosting a celebrity hockey game at the Antigonish Arena. The game will be between two teams, the first team is consisting of current X-Women/Men hockey players, and the other being X-Women/Men hockey alumni, as well as highly recognized members of the Antigonish community. Additionally at this event, we will be hosting a silent auction, chuck-a-puck game and 50/50 draw, and offering food and drinks for purchase. As a non-profit organization, all proceeds collected from the fundraiser will be donated to the Hockey Gives Blood foundation.
