Saturday Morning Improv is back, at a new time! Once again every two weeks, and once again thanks to a generous partnership with Friends of the Annapolis Royal Library! Sorry for the long silence! It was an eventful summer, and hopefully everyone out there is settling in to September. We produced a little play at the "O" Oqwa'titek Amphitheatre as part of Natal Days on August 1st. It was called "The Mermaid Kingdom" and it was written by Aaron LeBlanc (originally from Yarmouth) and directed by Laura Cooper-Wagner (from Bridgetown). The crowds were very appreciative at yesterday's Natal Days show of "The Mermaid Kingdom" at the Oqwa'titek Amphitheater! 2.5 months of weekly rehearsals paid off with two shows in front of the spectacular backdrop of the Annapolis Basin.

There were many special people behind the scenes who supported us and provided help along the way. Young Company Productions is an all-volunteer organization that depends on a large community, and we couldn't have done this production without the efforts of a whole lot of people and organizations going above and beyond: Julia Hall, Louise Oliver, Noah Scanlan, Miles Leahy, Simon Bonnington, Verilea Ellis, Sue Bonnington, Susanna Haley, Anona Siwik, Heather Hiscock, Lisa Kumpula, Annapolis Royal Natal Days Committee, St. Luke's Anglican Church, Annapolis Royal Library, Granville Ferry Community Hall, Digby Print and Promo, 1 Scoop 2 Scoop, and Lequille Pizza. They are bringing to life this family comedy of lobsters, mermaids, the occasional flounder and fisherman's wife, and Kings and Queens at the outdoor stage at the "O" Oqwa'titek Amphitheater.
