At Ryanâs Place in Guatemala, children with disabilities are receiving therapy, counselling, nutritional support, and care that can change the lives of entire families. It is a place where children are seen, cared for and given opportunities to reach their potential, while families receive the tools and support to continue that care at home.
But the growing number of children coming through the doors also tells an important story: the need is great, and there are very few services like this available across Guatemala. Families are travelling for hours to Ryanâs Place because finding this kind of specialized care and support can be incredibly difficult.
Every new child who comes through the doors is a reminder of how important Ryanâs Place has become, and how much more there is to do.
Weâre incredibly thankful to our partners at Hope of Life International for caring for these children and their families, and weâre proud that Ryanâs Rays can be part of this work.
There is so much these families are carrying, and we want to continue standing alongside them. In the weeks ahead, weâll be sharing more about the challenges these families are currently facing and the growing needs in this community.
