Through creative therapies like visual arts and music, this program helps children build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and connect with others in meaningful ways.

In the first year alone:
🎨 155 visual arts visits
🎵 21 music therapy sessions
⭐ 9.8/10 families said they would participate again

🌟 Today is Giving Tuesday! 🌟

Did you know that nearly 150 children with disabilities—many travelling from remote communities up to four hours away—receive outpatient therapy at Ryan’s Place at Hope of Life International in Guatemala?

This Giving Tuesday, we’re raising Home Therapy Kits for Ryan’s Place outpatients. Each kit costs $60 and empowers children and their families to continue essential therapeutic exercises at home, helping each child build strength, mobility, and independence beyond their in-clinic sessions.

Recently, a team from Ryan's Rays returned from an incredible trip to Guatemala, where we had the joy of finishing a very special project — building a new, accessible home for Darwin and his family in the remote community of Bella Vista.

Darwin is an amazing boy with a developmental disability who is part of the outpatient care program at Ryan's Place, where he receives physiotherapy, specialized nutrition and medical support. Darwin was living with his mom and four siblings in a one-room house with dirt floors (scroll to the end to see the before picture). Partnering with our friends at Hope of Life International, we built a home designed for his needs — a space filled with love, hope, and opportunities for the whole family.

Seeing the family's joy as they walked through their new home reminded us why we do what we do — to bring hope and brighter futures to children with disabilities and their families.
