Your Lunch Break Just Got a Little More Helpful.
Working parent? Busy Parent with a tight schedule? We get it! Between deadlines, school drop-offs, meetings, appointments, activities, and everything in between, finding time for parenting support can feel like one more thing on an already full to-do list. So, why not use your lunch break?
Join us Wednesdays, once a month (September 23 • October 21 • November 18 • December 2) from 12:00–1:00 p.m. at Maggie’s Place (11 Elmwood Drive) for Lunch, Learn & Parent On!—a practical parenting series created with busy and/ or working parents in mind, while welcoming all interested parents and caregivers.
We'll make the lunch, you take an hour for yourself, and join the conversation. Each session tackles a real-life parenting topic with practical strategies, helpful information, and ideas you can take back to your family.

School is back! Join us on your lunch break for practical tips to create simple, realistic morning and bedtime routines that work for your family. Learn strategies to reduce stress, make transitions smoother, encourage independence, and bring more calm to busy school days.
**Session #2 — Cracking the Kid Code** Wednesday, October 21**
From first words to teenage eye rolls, every stage comes with its own language!
Use your lunch hour to learn how to communicate, connect, and truly understand your child as they grow. Discover age-appropriate ways to listen, respond, set boundaries, and build stronger relationships—from babyhood through the teen years.
**Session #3 — Discipline: It’s Not About Punishment**Wednesday, November 18**
Ever wonder if you’re disciplining or just punishing? Let’s break it down!
Take an hour to explore practical ways to set boundaries, handle challenging behaviours, and turn tough moments into learning opportunities—without the constant battles, guilt, or power struggles.

Parenting can feel like a lot—but you don’t have to do it alone! Spend your lunch break discovering the local programs, services, supports, and resources available to help your family thrive. Learn where to turn for parenting support, community programs, family activities, support for your child, and more. Build your village and discover what’s available right in your community!
