Safari Club International is proud to announce SCI Lobby Day 2026, taking place May 7, 2026, which will bring together members of SCI with conservationists for a full-court press of advocacy on Capitol Hill. Throughout the week, SCI leaders and members will meet with lawmakers and their offices to champion the issues that matter most to the hunting community. 🚨

SCI defends the right to hunt by combatting unscientific and unwarranted bans on legally harvested wildlife imports, preserving federal hunting and fishing access, and advancing meaningful Endangered Species Act reforms grounded in sound science and state-level expertise.

SCI began with a Lobby Day Reception at SCI’s Hunters’ Embassy on Wednesday evening that convened leading voices from the hunting and outdoor community for an opportunity to strengthen relationships and align around shared priorities.

Today, on Thursday, SCI members will take to Capitol Hill for Lobby Day, engaging directly with lawmakers and their staff on the pressing issues facing hunting and conservation. These conversations are critical to ensuring our community’s voice is heard where it matters most.

Friday’s President’s Dinner will bring together administration officials and SCI members for an evening focused on the future of hunting and conservation policy. SCI is especially honored to welcome Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Brian Nesvik as keynote speaker. Director Nesvik has distinguished himself as a patriot, conservationist, and champion of the outdoors. His career includes service as Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, achieving the rank of General in the Wyoming Army National Guard, and Director of the Wyoming Game and Fish Department.

The week will conclude with Saturday’s board meeting, where SCI leadership will ratify new chapters, debrief on advocacy efforts, and align on state and federal priorities moving forward.

For more than five decades, SCI has stood at the forefront of advocacy on Capitol Hill. SCI’s Lobby Day reflects that enduring commitment and looks forward to continuing to protect the right to hunt and advance responsible conservation.
