The 165th edition of the Almonte Fair is this weekend! 🎡

Prepare for a weekend full of fun, including a midway, live entertainment, exhibits, shows, food and more.

📍 Almonte Fairgrounds (195 Water Street)

🔸Admit only (no rides): $20
🔸Children 36" and under: FREE

🚫 The Almonte Beach and boat launch will be closed for the fair on the following dates:

The grandstand and field are peaceful in this photo, but once the 165th Almonte Fair gets underway tomorrow afternoon, it will be full of families enjoying all that this fall favourite has to offer!

The weekend will be jam-packed with live entertainment, agricultural shows, activities for the kids, plus there is midway (for those who can handle rides - not me!!🥴), delicious food, vendors, a demolition derby, and more. Something for everyone!

Gates will be open:

🐮 Saturday, September 6, 9am - 10pm
🚜 Sunday, September 7, 10am - 5 pm

The North Lanark Agricultural Society (NLAS) hosts the Almonte Fair and owns the Fairgrounds. They are the careful stewards of:

⭐️The Agricultural Hall, a Provincial Heritage building and the only one of its kind in Eastern Ontario.

⭐️ The Grandstand, which is the oldest covered wooden grandstand in Canada dating from 1868!

⭐️ The Fairgrounds themselves which the NLAS shares with the community to provide access to the beach and the boat launch (no access to the beach and boat launch starting tonight until after the fair though!).

The mission of the NLAS is to promote the importance of agriculture in our community through education, awareness and by celebrating our rural traditions and heritage.

The celebration of Scottish culture includes:
🔷 Traditional Scottish games (hammer throw, caber toss and more!) showcasing heavyweight athletes
🔷 20 pipe bands
🔷 A hundred dancers
🔷 Mini-Highland Games for kids
