The Nottawasaga Foundation was formed in 2001 by the Biffis & Lombardi families.

Each year a Charity Golf Tournament, Dinner and Auction is held at the Nottawasaga Resort to raise funds to support vital local charities and programs in Simcoe County.

🎉 A Million-Dollar Commitment. A Lasting Impact.

On October 9, 2026, the Nottawasaga Foundation proudly delivered the 10th and final instalment of $100,000, completing its remarkable $1 million commitment to the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation!

Made possible through the generosity of corporate sponsors, individual donors, and the continued success of the Nottawasaga Foundation’s annual golf fundraising event at Nottawasaga Resort, this milestone represents a decade of meaningful support for local healthcare.

The Biffis and Lombardi families have been dedicated supporters of Stevenson Memorial Hospital since 2008, including their involvement in the reopening of the Obstetrics/Birthing Unit. Their ongoing commitment reflects a shared belief in the importance of accessible, quality healthcare for our community.

Through the Hospital Foundation’s Because of YOU campaign, these contributions are helping advance plans for the hospital’s redevelopment, acquire essential medical equipment, and bring new technology to our region. We are incredibly proud to have been part of this journey and to see our $1 million pledge come full circle.

While this marks the completion of our financial commitment, the impact of this investment will continue for years to come. ❤️

🌿 Proud to help preserve a piece of Alliston’s history.

The Nottawasaga Foundation was honoured to donate $2,500 toward the restoration of the historic gazebo at Memorial Gardens in Alliston.

Originally established in 1955, this garden is a wonderful example of how local volunteers and community partners can come together to care for the places that tell our town’s story.

Thank you to the Alliston & District Horticultural Society, Legacy Metal Roofing, The Great British Painting company , and everyone who helped bring this restoration to life. 🌿

We’re honoured to stand behind a cause that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of families of fallen emergency responders and victims of violent crimes. ❤️

The Nottawasaga Foundation is proud to support the Canada 911 Ride Foundation and its annual event hosted at the Nottawasaga Resort. On August 22, 2026, the Foundation presented a $10,000 donation to help continue this important work and provide support where it is needed most.

To everyone who took part in the ride, volunteered, organized, and helped bring this event together—thank you. Your dedication, compassion, and commitment to supporting others truly makes an impact. 🏍️

This meaningful program provides nourishing meals, comfort, and care to residents, families, grief support groups, and community members — ensuring every individual is welcomed with dignity and supported through thoughtfully prepared, high-quality food services.

Together, we’re helping ensure that no one facing life-limiting illness or grief does so without the warmth and connection of a welcoming table. 🍽️

Something paw-some is happening in our community! 🐾

The Alliston & District Humane Society celebrated the grand opening on April 18th by unveiling their newly renovated and expanded shelter—and what a moment it was! Marked by a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, the day brought together donors, volunteers, and supporters to celebrate a project years in the making.

The new expansion introduces a bright, spacious community room for education programs, along with Liv’s Library—a heartwarming initiative created by a 9-year-old volunteer that invites children to read to cats. With the support of the Nottawasaga Foundation we were able to sponsor both the Adoption Room and Welcome Area in Reception — two vital spaces where hope and healing begin for hundreds of animals each year. The shelter also features a much-needed, open and welcoming cat area, replacing the previous cramped space, along with thoughtful renovations throughout the existing building to better accommodate dogs and small animals.

This incredible milestone is a true reflection of the compassion and generosity that runs through our community. We’re proud to have contributed to a space that will provide comfort, care, and second chances for so many animals in need.

From friendly competition to plenty of laughs, The Grate Groan-up spelling bee hosted by the@nextstepliteracy Council on April 11, 2026 was a true celebration of learning, confidence, and community.👏📖
