Abilities in Motion

Abilities in Motion aims to provide adaptive paddling programs for people with disabilities.

Abilities in Motion provides specialized kayak programs for all ages and abilities. The benefits of kayaking include enjoying fresh air, exercise, relaxation, appreciation of the flora, fauna, and the music of the paddle. There is an emphasis on safety in all areas of this sport; instructors are highly qualified and there high instructor to paddler ratio (1:1 ratios available where necessary)

What an AMAZING first week paddling!

We are so happy to have all of our paddlers back again this summer and ready to paddle! Our first week was filled with sunny days, lots of smiles, and even some turtle sightings!

Happy National AccessAbility week!

This year’s theme is “Building a Strong, Accessible Canada”. This can remind us that when barriers are removed, opportunities can be accessible to everyone which can build stronger, more inclusive, and more connected communities.

At Abilities in Motion we are proud to embrace this theme by fostering an inclusive environment where individuals can connect and celebrate their abilities!

We are excited to officially announce our partnership with AMI!

AMI is a media company that entertains, informs and empowers Canadians with disabilities through three broadcast services, AMI-tv and AMI-audio in English and AMI-tele in French and free streaming platform AMI+. Their vision is to establish AMI as a leader in the offering of accessible content, providing a voice for Canadians with disabilities through authentic storytelling, representation, and positive portrayal.

At abilities I motion, we believe everyone deserves a chance to feel empowered, supported and included and we are so grateful to have AMI helping us share our mission and expand the impact of inclusive recreation.
