Yesterday, Tuesday, May 26th we once again partnered with Ellerslie Elementary School to celebrate their annual Multicultural Day Event!

As we know, it takes a village, and the amount of partners and volunteer work that goes into these days is what makes them so extra special! Thank you one and ALL!

Richard Pellissier-Lush shared on Indigenous Mi'kmaq Culture, Johan & Lea shared about The Netherlands, Father Roland shared about Cameroon, Rev. Erasmus shared about Zimbabwe, Mehakdeep, Ekamdeep, & Jasbir shared about India, Julie & Rosemarie shared about The Philippines, and Kristi shared about Albania!

In true fun-filled fashion, the staff went next level dressing as flight attendants (see last year's picture at the end, as we didn't get a staff photo this year), with the students following the "boarding announcements" (school buzzer) to travel from one country to the next, with their paper passports in hand!

It most certainly was a day to remember, and we SINCERELY want to thank all the presenters and volunteers who helped make this memorable day a reality for the children/all!

Well done, everyone!

On Friday, we had a wonderful day at M.E. Callaghan Intermediate School, partnering again to celebrate their annual Multicultural Day Event! It takes a village, and the amount of partners and volunteer work that goes into these days is what makes them so extra special!

From Richard Pellissier-Lush sharing on Indigenous Mi'kmaq Culture, to teacher Heather Harris sharing/playing Gaelic Football, to teacher Kendra O'Brien working with her AMAZING students to perform traditional Filipino dance(s), and of course the food! 'Arroz con Leche' from Lucia & Germán of Columbia, Shawarmas from Pierre & Sergio of Lebanon, and Pad Thai from Nui of Thailand!

Last, but certainly not least - Potatoes of Irish Decent, from good ole' Price Edward Island, Canada by the one and only teacher extraordinaire, Corinne Kenny! Thank you for your continued partnership and terrific work always, Corinne!

It most certainly was a day to remember, the school look phenomenal, thanks to the efforts of the children and staff!
Well done, everyone!
