Alberta Beach Museum

Alberta Beach Museum Alberta Beach Heritage Village and Museum has 10 historic buildings and a replicated one with artifacts show how the Village was in the early to mid 1900's.

Wheelchair accessible. Certified service dogs allowed on site. The Alberta Beach Museum is operated from the Heritage Village Park, which is located at the heart of Alberta Beach, just a block and a half away from the main beach area. Heritage Village Park was started by the Museum as a way of sharing our story from times gone by. It started with a vision from members and a donation of the origina

l one-room, Grasmere School. Following the restoration of this building to its original splendor, more buildings were added to the site and completely restored. You can now come to see the Jail, Nurse’s Station, Summer Cottage, Log Cabin, Trinity Chapel, Teacherage, and of course the original Train Station. Be sure to visit the Heritage Village during the summer.

Thank you to Frieda, Keith, Una and Sharon who joined us at our senior’s gathering to share stories of living around and in Alberta beach during the mid 1900s. Unfortunately the turnout wasn’t as good as we had hoped, but the stories and anecdotes of times were really interesting and often funny!
Thank you also to Jocelyne April for setting the tone by playing the pump organ in our Trinity Chapel and to Gina Joslin for preparing the delicious fruit tray that we enjoyed.
