🎒👕 We're excited to be part of Kids Fest 2026!

The Green Neighbours Circular Project will be running a FREE Kids Clothing Giveaway to help families get ready for the new school year while giving great clothing a second life.

Come browse a wide selection of gently used children's clothing —perfect for back-to-school and everyday wear. Whether you're looking for school-ready outfits, everyday essentials, or a few extra pieces for growing kids, everything is completely free.

• Bring your own reusable bags.
• Please limit your selection to what you will use so more families can benefit.

This giveaway is about more than clothing—it's about reducing textile waste and making sure great items stay in our community instead of the landfill.

Thank you again Cobbs Bread for this donation of hamburger buns and Mandi for facilitating this again.

Will have more coming later this week.

Also added some sugar free fruit cups and regular peach slices in the fridge for something cool on this hot day.

Come by the Community Fridge and Pantry to add some cool drinks or ready to eat meals and proteins to help those who access this resource.

Thank you Cobbs Bakery Whitby and Mandi for facilitating this donation to the Rosedale Community Fridge and Pantry. We packaged and have some in the freezer to share as it goes!

All we need now is someone to drop off a jar of peanut butter!

One of the things we wish more people knew:

If you've got a fruit tree, it's worth it to remove some of the fruit.

The tree has a reserve of sugar that sugar gets divided among the fruit.

Less fruit = sweeter fruit.

A challenge for the soft-hearted, thinning your seedlings is a necessary step in growing great vegetables.

It's almost time for community fruit harvesting to begin!

Serviceberries are one of the first fruits to ripen in early summer and they'll be ready to harvest soon!

If you have any kind of fruit tree or shrub in your yard or boulevard, you can register to have a team of volunteers from your community come to help harvest, then give one third of the fruit to you, keep one third to share among them, and donate one third to a local food bank, shelter, community pantry, or food access program.

Register your tree, register to get involved, register to find garden space, or register just to hang out with all of us fruit nerds, garden mavens, and foodies on Bean Trellis!
