It was a fantastic event! Congratulations Durham Youth Services (aka Joanne's House - Durham Youth Housing and Support Services)

🎉Thank You, 100+ MEN WHO CARE Ajax Pickering
A heartfelt thank you for your generous $2,000 donation to Joanne’s House, the only emergency youth shelter in Durham Region open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Because of your support, youth ages 16–24 can access safe housing, caring support, life-skills development, mental health resources, and the tools they need to build a brighter, more stable future.
Together, we are helping youth move from crisis to confidence.

What an incredible night for our community!

At our March 100 Men Ajax-Pickering gathering, a group of men came together with one goal — to support local charities making a real difference in Durham Region.

We had the privilege of hearing from three outstanding organizations:
• Girls Inc of Durham
• Ignite Durham Learning Foundation
• Joanne’s House (Durham Youth Housing & Support Services)

Each shared powerful stories about the impact they’re making in the lives of youth and families in our community.

👏 Congratulations to Joanne’s House (Durham Youth Housing & Support Services) for receiving the top vote and the majority of the funds raised that evening.

Their work supporting vulnerable youth in our region is truly meaningful, and we’re proud to contribute to their mission.

💥 Approximately $4000 was directed to these organizations in one evening — a powerful reminder of what’s possible when we come together.

A sincere thank you to every man who attended, contributed, and helped make this impact possible.

And thank you to Falcon Brewing Company for hosting us. 🙏🏼

This is the power of community.

If you haven’t joined us yet, we invite you to come out to our next gathering — and bring a friend.
The more men in the room, the greater the impact we can make together.

Relaunch Recap – 100 Men Ajax-Pickering

Big impact. Local change.

We are back as 100 Men Ajax-Pickering, and our relaunch this week proved just how powerful a community can be when we come together.

Since inception, we’ve donated over $110,000 to local charities — and we’re just getting started.

🙏 A big thank-you to:

Falcon Brewing Company for hosting our gathering & generously providing a door prize 🍺

Qdine Japanese&Thai Fusion for the delicious sushi, sashimi, and spring rolls 🍣

Boston Pizza for fueling the room with a few classic slices 🍕

Every one of the incredible men who showed up to be part of something meaningful

💜 We were honoured to hear from Esther Enyolu, Executive Director of the Women’s Multicultural Resource & Counselling Centre WMRCC of Durham — an organization providing free, confidential, and culturally responsive counselling to survivors of violence. For 32 years, WMRCC has been a trusted voice and advocate in our community.

If you haven’t donated yet, please do so now to support their mission:

🙌 We also received an inspiring update from Community Justice Alternatives of Durham Region— our June charity — who have been able to support more youth through restorative justice and community programs thanks to your contributions.

🎤 Special shoutout to our Co-Chairs: Mil Patel, Don Terry & Jim Lawrence — for keeping this community rolling!

🗓 Next session: December 10 at 6 PM
