We are so thankful for the years of dedication our outgoing Commanding Officer, Lt(N) Tedford, C committed to our corps, now we welcome back to the helm Lt(N) Tedford, J!

We also had the pleasure of seeing our Coxswain promoted to the rank of Chief Petty Officer Second Class.

Our Cadets were out in force this past weekend in support of the Canadian Legions Poppy Drive. We were thrilled to have the Airdrie Navy League Cadets standing with us.

A huge thank you to the parent volunteers who helped with the stations and to our Legion partners who are always great supports of Cadet activities in Airdrie.

Battle of the Atlantic post pt. 1

The Battle of the Atlantic was the longest naval battle the world has ever seen. Taking place during WWII the Battle of the Atlantic was a 6 year long fight for control of the Atlantic ocean. The battle lead to the loss of 65,000 allied and merchant sailors, about 4,600 of whom were Canadian. It was on May 5th that cadet corps all across Canada took a moment to remember the sacrifices of the sailors during those long 6 years. It is thanks to them making the ultimate sacrifice that we won the war, and that we are still free. A debt that can never be repaid.

Ceremonials!!

Last night's parade was a wonderful night full of learning experiences and examples of growth. With the improvements to the march past, and the CO's comments from inspection, our corp is starting to shape up into what it can truly be.

A massive BRAVO ZULU to all the cadet who got promotions this CDs. Each promotion was earned through hard work and was well deserved.
