Did you know that your scouting adventures don't have to be limited to your local region? There are events across Canada and across the world that youth can participate in such as World Jamborees. Many countries host their own jamborees and invite scouts from all over the world to participate. Canada has a contingent currently at 🇩🇰 Jamboree Denmark 🇩🇰. They just held their opening ceremonies and it looks like the youth, their scouters and the offer of service volunteers that make it all happen are in for one super exciting event!! The participants will make memories that they'll carry with them throughout their scouting careers and for their entire lives. They'll make lasting friendships, many with youth from other countries. Language isn't a barrier, but only one more challenge to overcome (though many speak English across the world). There are many other languages scouts learn to use, besides words, be it sharing skills, sharing laughs or sharing their cultures, scouting traditions and of course, their food!
It can take years of preparation to raise funds and plan these adventures. If you're interested, there are many ways you can get involved. And you can even join other groups attending and make even more friends along the way.

🍳 Scout House SOS! ⚜️

1st Acton Scouts is looking for a clean, working stove for our Scout House.

Our current stove has served us well thanks to a generous donation years ago, but we think it’s ready for a well-earned retirement… we’ve heard a 20-minute cake now takes about 1½ hours to bake! 😄

What a wonderful evening at 1st Acton celebrating our annual Swim Up! 🦫🐺⛺

It was great to come together as a Group to recognize the achievements of our youth, celebrate another fantastic Scouting year, and cheer on those moving up to their next section.

A huge thank you to all of our leaders for the time, energy, and care you give throughout the year, and thank you to the Vents for keeping everyone fed with hot dogs! 🌭

That’s a wrap on our 2025–26 Beaver Scouting season! 🦫☀️

We celebrated an amazing year together at the park with Freezies, laughter, and plenty of fun. We’re so thankful for the time we got to spend with these sweet friends and the memories we made along the way.

Registration for Beaver Scouts (ages 5–7) for the 2026–27 season is now open at Scouts.ca. We are currently operating with a waitlist, but here’s a helpful tip: if a grown-up registers to volunteer as a leader, your child will automatically come off the waitlist!

Have a wonderful summer, Beavers, we can’t wait to see you again in the fall! 💙
