Yesterday, our squadron was proudly represented by our 861 Silverfox Cadets as they marched in the 2026 Abbotsford Canada Day Parade.

Our cadets have been busy this past week, with our Annual Ceremonial Review on Saturday, June 13th.
Throughout the year, the cadets have demonstrated dedication, growth, and many accomplishments, all of which were celebrated at the ACR.
Congratulations to all of our cadets. Your commitment to excellence and leadership continues to stand out, and we are proud of all that you have achieved. We look forward to seeing your continued success in the year ahead.
Congratulations to all of the cadets who received awards at this year's Annual Ceremonial Review, and to those for whom this was their final ACR. Your dedication, commitment, and the time you have devoted to 861 Silverfox are greatly appreciated. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

861 Silverfox invites you to our 48th Annual Ceremonial Review, on June 13, 2026, held at the AgRec Building 32470 Haida Drive.

Come support our Cadets who have put so much hard work into making this happen. There will be presentations on everything we’ve done this past training year.

Reception to follow in the 861 building after the event has concluded.

This past week some of our cadets from 861 were given the opportunity to go to CFB Comox. While there, they toured the 19 Wing Comox Fire Department with some hands on activities. At 407 Long Range Patrol Squadron, they interacted with the aircrew of the Aurora, as well they received a tour of the machine shop. At 442 Search and Rescue, they toured the Kingfisher and Cormorant, and they were able to try on some equipment. They were given a tour and some hands on interaction with tow planes and gliders at the RCAir Operations, as well Glider Cadets gave a briefing on how to get pilot certifications, and tips for success. Last but not least, we had a tour of the 19 Wing Comox Airforce Museum.

It is with profound sadness that we share the news that officials and emergency services have confirmed the passing of a cadet following the tragic bus accident that occurred yesterday in Sainte‑Rose‑de‑Watford, Quebec, transporting members of the Cadet Program to an activity.

Our hearts are with the cadet’s family, friends, and with all members of the cadet community who are mourning this deeply felt loss. We extend our sincere and heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time.

Out of respect for the grieving family and all those affected, no further details will be shared at this time.

For those who feel moved to do so, we invite you to take a quiet moment of personal reflection in honour of those impacted. Thank you for your compassion, care, and understanding.
