DAF Day is coming on October 8! 💙

Have a GiveWise Giving Fund or another donor-advised fund? October 8 is your day. (Although really... every day can be a DAF giving day!)

DAF Day is Canada’s national day for giving from donor-advised funds - a day to bring attention to charitable dollars already set aside for giving and encourage DAF holders across the country to put those funds into action.

As Oct. 8 approaches, think about the charities and causes that matter to you. Is there one you’ve been meaning to support?

You can give from your DAF any day - but DAF Day is a great reminder to put those charitable dollars to work. 💙

We’re excited to welcome a friendly new face to GiveWise! 💙

Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Esther “Essie” Boelema, who has just joined our team.

Essie comes to GiveWise after completing her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing at SAIT, where she earned academic honours while also serving as captain of the Women’s Hockey team. 🏒 She brings with her a strong sense of teamwork, leadership and plenty of drive.

An entrepreneur from a young age, Essie has always had a passion for connecting with people and making a positive impact. She’s excited to bring that people-first mindset to GiveWise and help us in our mission to grow generosity.

And outside of work? You’ll find her spending time with family and friends (and her dogs!), staying active, getting outdoors, or settling in with a good book or favourite show.

September 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - a day to listen, learn, reflect and consider how each of us can contribute to reconciliation.
