Fraser Valley Climate Action Encouraging citizens, government and corporations to take concrete steps to fight Climate Change Understand the very real problem of Climate Change
2.

We are a grassroots organization encouraging people, government & businesses to take action now to fight climate change. Our focus is on encouraging citizens to act as climate advocates in their own sphere of influence to nudge others to;
1. Tell the truth about Climate Change, its causes and its impacts
3. Recognize that we need both personal responsibility as well as corporate and government lea

dership.
4. confront and correct misinformation lies and green-washing
5. To encourage participation in a "both-and" / "everyone has something to contribute" manner.
6. To promote the end of burning fossil fuels which is the most significant cause of climate change. Twitter: https://twitter.com/FVClimateAction?s=20

Maybe you are looking for ways to enrich Billionaires and US companies that are wanting to extract wealth from Canada.
If that is the case just keep scrolling and don't read on.
However, if you are angry about US billionaires threatening democracy, and pushing their capitalist extractive agendas in BC.
Learn about stopping the PRGT pipeline.
It's approval expired... but there is a loophole... If they can prove "substantial start" then they can "dodge" that expiry.
(so they've been clear cutting "right of ways" and buzzing around last year looking busy to try and "prove" the project is substantially started. (it isn't)
On Paper... some of the band councils have endorsed this. (making it look like it has wide acceptance by the indigenous communities, but that is part of the push by these foreign companies to misrepresent.)
Today I listened to indigenous organizers talking about how people were unaware, the community meetings were poorly attended. etc.
Don't let the oil and gas companies talking points convince you. (they are biased)

You can go here to learn more and to quickly sign a letter to government leaders. (we all like quick actions don't we)
Or if you want to be all sciencey, you can read (long read) about how LNG is worse for climate than coal. (yup coal was the dirtiest option, but LNG has sprung forward saying "hold my beer")
https://scijournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/.../ese3.1934
I'd love it if you could use that first link and send a letter (takes 5 minutes).
OR.... Let the US Billionaires and their PRGT pipeline project get "fast tracked" by David Eby and the BC NDP. (facepalm)
Be well!

I'm excited to share.

Just posted a video of the first draft of our presentation.
"Climate Change for Faith Communities".

If you think of someone who might appreciate this, please pass it on :-)

The idea is we'd love to come and present this to local faith communities if they are interested. (a bit more engaging and allows for questions and more learning)

Soon we'll post this on the website https://fvclimateaction.org/

In this section I provide an introduction to FVCA and to the idea that faith communities share values with those who fight climate change. We look at how sc...

Would anybody like to help us work on stopping coal exports from Western Canada?
Burning coal is harmful to human health and contributes to climate change. Stopping the $6B annual BC coal exports would help.

Are you an Albertan who is tired of Alberta Premier, Danielle Smith, funnelling your tax dollars into Big Oil propaganda instead of investing in things Albertans really need — like repairing our Alberta healthcare system?

They profit. We pay the price. Enough. Let's Cap the Crap and build a better future for all of us.

Hey Abbotsford people.

Can you read this, sign this and spread the word?

Abby Fair Share has launched their site https://abbyfairshare.org

It explains how we are being stuck with the climate costs that Big Oil and Gas are causing. And they are not paying their fair share.

It links to the petition below which asks City leaders to join the existing class action lawsuit to make Big Oil and Gas pay their fair share.
