This Wednesday, the Rotary Club of Abbotsford Sumas held our Annual General Meeting and celebrated the installation of our new Board of Directors for the upcoming Rotary year.

We would like to thank our outgoing board members for their dedication and service, and we look forward to an exciting year ahead under the leadership of our new board. Together, we will continue making a positive impact in our community and beyond through service, fellowship, and Rotary’s commitment to helping others.

A special highlight of the evening was the presentation of Paul Harris Fellow Awards to two outstanding volunteers, Barry, spouse of Rotary member Cheryl Klassen, and Larry, spouse of our outgoing President Kris Foulds.

Both Barry and Larry have been tremendous supporters of our club over the years. Their willingness to volunteer their time, energy, and skills has helped make many of our projects successful, including their significant contributions to the installation of the playground at the SARA for Women Transition House. We are grateful for their dedication and proud to recognize their service with this well deserved honour.

Are you looking for a way to give back, connect with community leaders, and make a difference? We are always looking for new members to join our club.

If you would like to learn more about Rotary and the Rotary Club of Abbotsford Sumas, please send us a message. We would love to hear from you!

Today, members of the Rotary Club of Abbotsford Sumas came together with purpose and heart to support the Cyrus Centre.

This year, our club committed funds toward something truly meaningful, helping create a functional and welcoming backyard space for youth. Together, we assembled planters and outdoor elements that will transform this space into a place of comfort, growth, and connection.
Service above self is more than a motto. It’s action. And today was a great example of what can happen when a community rallies together to make a difference.
