A lovely send-off from some of the Hope for Korah team here in BC before we head for Africa 🧡 We'll be seeing again soon - we're going to visit when we cycle through Ethiopia! They are one of our amazing Cycle 5 charity partners.
- This morning, our Canadian staff gathered with PL and Kristen Meindertsma from Cycle 5 To Survive to pray over them as they prepare to depart for Africa this Saturday. They will begin with climbing Mt Kilimanjaro before launching their fourth major cycling journey to raise support for five different charities, including HFK’s youth program.
In just a couple weeks, some of our team will travel to Ethiopia to meet up with them, welcome them to Korah, and cheer them on as they begin their 6,000+km African cycling adventure through Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, and ending in South Africa.
This morning we asked them how we could be praying for them and they shared these requests:
• That all visas for each country they will travel through would be processed and arrive in time.
• For their health and strength throughout the journey, especially for Kristen as she has experienced stomach issues on past trips.
• For safety and protection as they ride long distances each day across multiple countries and road conditions.
• That they would find good connections in each country with people who can help guide them in routes, safety, and other needs.
• For wisdom and clear guidance as they make many decisions while navigating new places.
