UPDATE - VOLUNTEER FOUND

We are looking for a volunteer to help with a donation pickup in Burnaby on Monday June 15th or Tuesday June 16th and drop-off in Chilliwack. Drop off does not have to be the same day. The donation will fit in a car so a large vehicle is not required. Please email [email protected] if you can help.

Enjoy this video of adoptable Missy!

This lovely girl has been living her best life in an incredible foster home! When Missy first came to us, she was very fearful and undersocialized, but her foster family has been working hard to give her plenty of positive socialization opportunities with adults, kids, other dogs, and even some turkeys! 🦃

Missy is an affectionate and sweet 4-month-old puppy. We’re told she has a bit of a spicy side (as most puppies do!), and her foster family has even named her naughty alter ego “Misty.” 😂

Missy is a mastiff mix and we encourage people to do their research on the breed as mastiffs have different temperaments than bully breeds. Mastiffs are part of the guardian family and tend to be more aloof and guarded with strangers. While they can be excellent family dogs, they may not appreciate the coming and goings of lots of unknown visitors so management around guests is key. We expect her to be around 75-100 lbs with a medium energy.

What we’re looking for in her forever family:
• Dogs: Yes! We’re looking for a home with a behaviorally solid male dog to model appropriate behaviour.
• Kids: Sure, but older children only.
• Home needs: A quiet home in a residential area.
• Training: Commitment to using positive reinforcement training methods.
• Dog parks: No thank you. Missy will benefit from controlled play dates and interactions with other dogs.

We are looking for a volunteer to help with a donation pickup in South Surrey and drop-off in Chilliwack. Drop off does not have to be the same day. The donation includes multiple large bags of dog food, so a vehicle with some cargo space is needed. Please email [email protected] if you can help.

Take a look at these beautiful raffle baskets!

Our friends at Big Dog Little Dog Bakery have invited us to join them at their store for Hats Off Day in Burnaby. Along with the prizes, discounts, and fun goodie bags they’ll be offering, they’ve generously donated these stunning raffle baskets, with all proceeds supporting HugABull.

🐾❤️ HAPPY ADOPTION BEANS ❤️🐾
We received the sweetest update from Beans' family, and our hearts are so full!

First things first—his name is still Beans. As in, full of😉

If you've been following his story, you'll remember that at just five weeks old, Beans was found abandoned at a gas station and tested positive for multiple drugs. He has come SO far and is thriving today thanks to an incredible community of people who refused to give up on him. From the person who rescued him, our friends at VAS, his fosters, and, of course, his new family, both human and canine.

This big, goofy boy has settled beautifully into his new life. He loves playing outside with his doggy sister Gypsy and has become a regular on pack hikes with his dog walker. He loves exploring trails, splashing in the water, and chasing sticks, Beans is truly living his best life.

The photos his family shared show exactly what we at HugABull hoped for, a happy, loved dog that is thriving. There are plenty of pictures of Beans and Gypsy relaxing together after having fun and causing chaos. We are so happy that these two HugABull pups have become the very best of friends.

Updates like this remind us why we do what we do. Thank you to Beans' family for loving him so much and congratulations to you all!

UPDATE -VOLUNTEER FOUND!

This Saturday, June 6, we’ve been kindly invited to host a booth at Big Dog Little Dog Bakery as part of Hats Off Day in Burnaby, and we’re looking for a volunteer to help us run the booth and hang out with us!

Time: Approximately 10:00 AM–2:00 PM
If you’d like to help, please email us at [email protected] and let us know:

1. What hours you are available
2. If you have volunteered in the past (not required we will just have a form you need to fill out)

Even if you can’t volunteer, we’d love for you to stop by, say hello, support Big Dog Little Dog Bakery(they will have lots of prizes, discounts and fun goodie bags!), and enjoy the festivities around Burnaby.

There will be a parade, live music, a Show & Shine, and plenty of other activities throughout the day.
