The staff of the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre is thrilled to welcome TD back as the presenting sponsor for the Annual Family Picnic. This year, we look forward to welcoming 600+ guests to our annual event along with 15+ community partners. We are grateful for TD’s generous sponsorship that allows us to celebrate our kids & youth with a free event and BBQ for FVCDC Families from Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack and the Fraser Cascades!

While we help most children and families in their homes or in our office locations, you might not know the FVCDC also offers contracted school-based speech and language services in some independent schools in the Fraser Valley.

That’s right, our staff work closely with learning support teams, teachers and teaching assistants to help each child or youth utilize the full range of communication skills to the best of their abilities within their school environment.

Referrals are received through the school the child attends.

Life doesn’t always give families time to prepare.

An unexpected bill. A missed paycheque. A car that won’t start when it’s needed most.
For families raising children and youth with diverse abilities, these moments can quickly become overwhelming.

That’s where the FVCDC Family Emergency Fund steps in.

It offers practical, immediate support when it matters most, groceries to fill an empty fridge, gas cards to make it to appointments, adaptive equipment to keep a child engaged and learning, or translation services so families can fully understand their child’s care.

They’re simple supports, but in the right moment, they can change everything.

Because no family should have to choose between basic needs and their child’s well-being.
