🎓🇧🇿 Planting Seeds Today, Building Belize’s Tomorrow
Some evenings are special because they remind us exactly why we serve. Our Rafael Cal Scholarship Induction Ceremony and Dinner was one of those beautiful evenings for the Rotary Club of San Ignacio. 💙💛
With great pride and joy, we welcomed our six Rafael Cal Scholars — Edel, Kenya, Abdullah, D’Andre, Marcie, and Jacie — as they begin an exciting four-year journey with the support of the Rotary Club of San Ignacio. ✨
Six young Belizeans. Six different dreams. Six bright futures that we are honored to invest in.
During the induction ceremony, each scholar, together with their parents, signed a scholarship agreement outlining the responsibilities and commitments they have agreed to uphold throughout their four years. It was a meaningful moment — not simply a signature on a contract, but a promise to work hard, stay committed, make the most of this opportunity, and carry the values of Rotary with them along the way.
We know that behind every young person who reaches for a dream is a family that has encouraged, sacrificed, prayed, and believed in them. To the parents and families of our scholars, thank you for allowing Rotary to walk alongside you on this journey.
And because we are Belizeans, we know that no meaningful gathering is complete without good food, good fellowship, and plenty of conversation! 🇧🇿🍽️ The evening continued with a wonderful buffet dinner lovingly prepared and provided by our dedicated Rotarians. It was a beautiful time of fellowship and celebration.
To our six scholars — Edel, Kenya, Abdullah, D’Andre, Marcie, and Jacie — always remember that this opportunity comes with people who believe in you. Dream big. Work hard. Stay humble. Make your families proud. And when the time comes, remember to reach back and help another young Belizean climb the ladder behind you.
Your Rotary family is cheering you on every step of the way!
Congratulations, scholars! 👏 We are so proud of each of you and cannot wait to see where this journey takes you.
Together, we are investing in our youth, strengthening our communities, and helping to build a brighter Belize — one scholar at a time. 🇧🇿💙💛
