District Governor Visit Part 1…..
We were honored to be the first club in District 4250 to host our new and very own Belizean District Governor Mr Ray from Belize city and Pete our Assistant Governor from San Pedro!! It is always great to brain storm about our clubs achievements and future goals and then showcase some of our wonderful community projects…. Basketball court refurbishment at UB, livening up the pediatric ward at the hospital and of course they wanted to see the Rotary firetruck and compressor!! They enjoyed touring Punta Gorda and meeting some of our wonderful community partners!!!

Rotary adding a touch of fun and color to the children’s ward at the Punta Gorda community hospital!! Any little way we can lighten the load and enhance the experience of children and their parents when visiting the hospital is a wonderful project!!! A big thank you to Roy for taking the lead with his creative talents and friend of Rotary Chris, pictured here!

A huge thanks to Creekside Oasis for hosting our Rotary Club strategic planning session over the weekend!! It is important to discuss and plan our path forward, to make sure we are all on the same path and highlight our main areas of focus!! Coming off the back of a very successful community assessment now we move to creating and implementing some projects to tackle the issues the community saw as a priority! Exciting times ahead!!!

An interesting conversation with Nurse Ack from the Maternal and Child healthcare department here in Toledo at our meeting this morning!! It’s always great to hear a little more about the services offered and challenges facing pregnant mothers in our District!! We thank Nurse Ack for sharing his passion and experience with us and also a shout out to Garden Bites for hosting us this morning with a delicious breakfast and great service!!!
