Our Education Outreach Manager recently visited San Jose RC School for an inspiring and informative session with the students of standards 5 & 6! Through engaging presentations and interactive discussions, the students explored the vital importance of Protected Areas and how safeguarding our natural habitats helps preserve Belize's incredible biodiversity for future generations.

We extend a huge thank you to the students and teachers at San Jose RC School for welcoming us. This school visit was made possible through the PACT project "Contributing to Resilient Landscapes: Strengthening Management of Protected Areas in the Southern Belize".

Strengthening skills to better support farmers and beekeepers!

Ya’axché’s Community Outreach and Livelihoods (COL) Program team continues to build its in-house expertise in beekeeping. Led by Mr. Erwin T**h, our beekeeping specialist, Agroforestry Extension Officers participated in hands-on training focused on hive inspection and hive splitting at the apiary of Mr. Agustin Kul’s in Aguacate Village, Toledo.

These practical learning sessions provide valuable opportunities for team members to exchange knowledge, enhance their skills, and strengthen the extension support offered to farmers and beekeepers across the Maya Golden Landscape.
