💔 Another adoption need… but this one comes from a heartbreaking loss.

Their mom died unexpectedly several months ago. These animals were loved, cared for mostly indoors and knew the comfort of a home and the companionship of their person. Since losing her, they have been living outside in shelters, scared and confused!

A wonderful man has been faithfully caring for them, coming twice a day to feed them, give them fresh water, and make sure they are okay. But they need homes NOW. Their caregiver is tired, money is finished, and this simply can't continue.

They are loving, affectionate, spayed/neutered, and desperately need families. Next week they will receive full veterinary health checks and updated vaccinations. We are still gathering names, ages, and individual details as you can see the information is limited so far.

They have already lost their mom and the life they knew. Please help us give them their next chapter.

URGENT!! Anyone traveling that can help transport....🙏

We are in need of assistance! A local wildlife champion rescued this raccoon from two dogs attacking it in Placencia village. CRC along with Belize Wildlife & Referral Clinic are looking for assistance to transport to Belmopan and Cayo to ensure this raccoon gets the veterinary treatment it deserves.

Raccoons have gotten a pretty bad rap over the last several years which parallels with rapid (unsustainable) development. But here is the hard truth - they’re often just trying to survive in a world that we’ve dramatically changed.

As development expands, raccoons lose natural habitat and the places where they can forage, find shelter, and feed naturally. When those resources disappear, they adapt—and sometimes that means rummaging through our garbage, getting into homes, or showing up where people don’t expect them. The raccoon isn’t the problem. The loss of habitat is.

We can coexist with wildlife, but it starts with educating ourselves and learning how to develop sustainably while leaving space for nature.

Instead of asking, “How do we get rid of the raccoons?” perhaps we should be asking, “How can we build communities where raccoons and people can both thrive?”

Early this year we purchased our new autoclave! This machine uses high-pressure steam to sterilize our surgical instruments and equipment from harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. Our older unit needed an upgrade, so thanks to the incredible support from our donors, we were able to purchase this essential equipment. Such a necessary addition for us to provide a safe and healthy environment for all of our animals.
