The United Community Association of Guinea Grass is a slate of concerned citizens promoting an Independent Platform for the upcoming Guinea Grass Village Council Elections. The villagers saw themselves as one family sharing and caring for each other. The interest of the village was always bigger than each individual. Individuals were cognizant of the fact that individual and family made sacrifices to enhance the village. While the village is not immune from human problems, it was always handled in an amicable way. The voice of the elders were respected and adhered to. There were distinct roles for men, women and children and each role was complimentary to each other. The good old saying of, “it takes a village to raise a child,” is real. The village is the child and the child is the village; it was never meant to be separated. In today’s reality there has been a dramatic shift from the norm in today’s village life. There are more things that divides us than unites us, hence the reason for this initiative called the United Community Association of Guinea Grass. It’s all about reuniting the people for a common purpose, common goal and one destiny to achieving a better and more productive life for all.
